Captain Stein has unofficially been a part of our parent company for many years. A graduate of Colgate University and the U. S. Marine Corp, Captain Stein was raised in NJ and became Captain of his family’s commercial fishing boat. Howie was Captain of the Americas Cup Committee boat in 1980 and was also Captain of their syndicate boat Stars & Stripes in the ‘86-’87 Cup race in Australia. In 1981, he became Captain of the largest US-flag yacht in the world, the Carmac VI. Howie has made 21 transatlantic crossings, 4 transpacific crossings, and 4 Indian Ocean Crossings. He has also made cruises to the Arctic Sea in both Atlantic & Pacific Oceans. He has also overseen 7 new builds and 3 major refits. Captain Stein brings not only his love for the sea and a wealth of knowledge of yachts to Bradford Marine Yacht Sales, but also an abundance of experience to share with clients looking for their special part of the yachting experience.
